slipslidehold! (2022)

slipslidehold! is a soapy performance by Chew Shaw En and Ang Kia Yee, where thoughtful touch becomes unpredictable when subjected to soap as a surface agent with a mind of its own. Helpful frictions might arise in an afternoon of least resistance!

slipslidehold! was commissioned as a performance companion of the physical pop-up store of Stranger's Touch, an art project which masqueraded as beauty brand.
